| The egg came first due to genetic mutation. When birds of different species and gender breeded many, many, MANY years back, they created the famous CHICKEN EGG. Therefore, the egg came first. A more suited question to this paradox would be: Which came first, the Common bird, of the common bird's egg? But this results in the same paradox scientists are faced with, on how the universe was created, whether god created it or it was just the big bang. To better understand this:

| The egg obviously came first. A Chicken is it's own specific type of bird, which evolved from other species breeding together. Thus at some point, what we know as a chicken egg, was created. Which in turn hatched a chicken. |

| Actually I'm fairly confident that God would have created the egg first. See, the baby chicken inside the egg needs to get the nutrients that are in the egg to live. If it never had an egg, it would die because of a lack of nutrients in its system. It would be a defect.
And obviously the chicken evolved from prehistoric dinosaurs and whatnot. So a better question would be... What came first? The dinosaur which will later evolve into a chicken or the egg of the dinosaur which will later evolve into a chicken?

Gradually of couse. So the first step shold be the egg on account of paving the way for giving a birth to what now we call chicken. | I have two theories. Therefore I will not vote.
Theory 1. (The most unlikely one.) If the debate is "Which one was randomly placed on the earth?" then "chicken" because you can have only a rooster and a hen to produce many eggs, but two eggs with no warmth or teachers will die.
Theory 2. As birds and reptiles evolved through breeding, their hatchlings became chicken-like. But they must be like this while forming in the egg, so "egg" would be the most likely answer.
